Meet the student!

Hi everyone! I’m Madi B. and I’m a junior studying Environmental Science on the Geography track. When I graduate I plan to serve in the Peace Corps for a few years and further my education in grad school. I have always wanted to visit Africa, and it’s still hard to believe that I actually get to live here and study something I am so passionate about!! Over the next six weeks, I’m looking forward to learning more about Botswana’s environment and the different factors that affect it. I’m excited to step out of my comfort zone and experience world in ways I never have before!

I’d like to thank the Bernard and Audrie Rappaport Foundation, Presidential Scholars, and International Education Fee for making this experience possible by providing funding for this trip! Finally I’d like to thank my family for their constant encouragement to follow my dreams- love you guys!<3

Chilling on a tree.
