Today we all headed out to visit the Kuru Development Trust's San Cultural Center in D'kar, a village 30 kilometers west of Ghanzi. The Kuru Trust maintains a cultural museum and art center in D'kar in an effort to preserve the cultural identity and history of the San people. The art center provides a workshop stocked with print-making supplies for the local artists to use, with the profits benefiting the San community.
Welcome to Kuru Art.
A local artist works on an etching in the courtyard of the art center.
Ashley, Eric, Kevin, Alec, Sarah, Cullen, and Shelby gathered around a folder of work done by San artists.
